Surprisingly Soft and Seriously Warm

Our Trekker Boot Socks are our heaviest, most insulating, and most wicking sock. We’re sure these are likely the warmest socks on the planet. Well, the warmest that aren’t electric but they are silly and pretty impractical!

Trekker Boot Socks = Workhorse Gear

Designed to be your go-to extra heavyweight boot sock, our Trekkers are extremely thick, quite soft, and well built. Created with ultra-soft bison fibre, these socks are thicker and more cushioning than our Pro-gear socks. We use only properly processed bison fibre that is 100% free from stuff that will make the socks itchy or abrasive.

Our Trekkers feature a terry loop padded foot bed and are over-plaited in the toe, heel, and slightly up the leg to make sure your feet will be comfortable all day long.

Despite the extra cushioning and tough construction, these performance designed socks are intended to be worn with footwear. They are not intended to be worn as house slippers. You certainly can, but wearing them on concrete and abrasive surfaces will impact wear.

Trekker Boot Socks are awesome, but don’t just take our word for it!

We gave a pair of our Trekker boot socks to survival expert Leon Pantenburg, and here is his review

Material Composition

Yarn bases for all our gear is (and will always be) natural fibers. This means that the internal structure of your socks (the parts that touch your skin) will be made from bison fiber, merino wool, mulberry silk, and other 100% natural fibers.

The overall composition (the parts that touch your skin plus everything else) will include other materials like nylon or polyester. This is done to make the sock more durable and ensure that your socks work (and play) as hard as you do.

Yarn Base Composition

50% American bison down / 50% Merino wool

Overall Composition

33% American bison down / 39% merino wool / 18% nylon / 8% polyester / 2% Lycra spandex

I tried so many boot socks-these are the best!

... and they're holding up great. It is freezing and I feel comfortable and though I stink, the socks don't. Also have two other different Buffalo Wool Co. pairs and they have been a source of comfort through the elements. Will likely be giving many more as gifts. Thanks!

Warmest socks ever!

These socks are the warmest socks I’ve ever had! I suffer from secondary Raynaud’s & ever since I started buying the Buffalo Wool Co.’s products, I’ve only had to wear 1 pair of socks instead of layering 3 socks or more. You can always fold these socks down, as the calves get really warm. I would buy again 10/10

Just around the house

This the second time I've ordered this sock. I wore the other 3 pairs out. Indeed a heavy sock, but very warm. You can't beat bison down for warmth. These socks do run large. I wear a 9 shoe and generally buy a large sock. They were easily three inches too long in the foot, so I returned them for a medium which are a much better fit. And the return process was easy and hassle free. I find myself wearing them at home now that the weather is getting cooler here in Colorado. But yeah, it's okay to wear them outside too.
